We are dog lovers ourselves, and we fully appreciate how important it is to be able to share your holiday with your four-legged family members.
We are proud that we DO NOT charge extra for dogs– we welcome four-legged family members with open arms.
Number 7 has underfloor heated tiles throughout, so your four-legged family will feel as comfortable as you will.
We also have an outside doggy-wash area with a hose pipe and the all-important doggy/ wetsuit washing trug – fantastic for cleaning off those salty doggie toes.

Some important details about Number 7 for dogs:
- We recommend that Number 7 is most suited to a maximum of 3 dogs, but please do contact us to discuss your needs if you would like to bring more than this (we are always open to discussion to flex this, particularly during quieter periods).
- The private back garden is fully enclosed by a 1.2m high fence and a 1.2m high hedge with stock fencing within it. For insurance purposes, we are not allowed to class this as “secure”, but it is fully enclosed, with a 1.2m high wooden gate. (To be classed as “secure” we would have to have 6-foot fencing, which would somewhat spoil your view.)
- Occasionally, the neighbouring farmer uses the field behind us for grazing sheep and lambs (just in case you have a very athletic doglet who may have a particular interest in sheep!)
- As a fellow dog owner for many years, we also ask that pups and young dogs wait until they are over 12 months to visit Number 7. This is in the interests of your dog, your own level of relaxation (and Number 7’s chair legs!). We completely understand what it is like caring for a young pup in an unfamiliar environment.
Thank you for understanding.
Dog-friendly beaches…
Perhaps most importantly, the numerous nearby beaches and coves are wonderful… and your four-legged family will LOVE them! Please do have a look at this page for more information about the many local dog-friendly spots to explore.

To look after everyone’s needs – whether it be two or four-legged, we hope you don’t mind but we ask just a couple of things:
- Please don’t leave your dog unattended in Number 7 (to prevent your dog/s becoming distressed in an unfamiliar place and to prevent any damage to Number 7 or any complaints from our lovely neighbours). To help with this, we can provide details of local dog sitters/hosts who can care for your dog if you’re planning a dog-free day or evening.
- We understand that many dogs love to cosy up with you after a day of adventures. If your furry friend prefers human beds and sofas, please can you bring your own clean blanket(s) to lay down first (apologies for this one, but this enables us to keep the cost down for fellow dog lovers, not having to launder / de-hair lots of dog-hairy linens separately!)
- Please clean up after your dog (forgive us, it may sound obvious… but we have had a few who haven’t!)

Enquiries about dog breeds that fall under the Dangerous Dogs Act
Sadly, we are unable to accommodate dog breeds that fall under the Dangerous Dogs Act legislation. Our outside space is classed as “enclosed” rather than “secure”, and our insurance therefore does not cover us for dogs restricted under the Dangerous Dogs Act legislation.
